Our public health experts are doing their best to follow the science, and make recommendations that make sense of the information available. But that means that rules and recommendations can change (it feels like weekly, sometimes!), and it can be easy to lose track.
www.confusedaboutcovid.ca is a great resource if you’re not sure about something, from what symptoms to look for, to how long to isolate, to when you might need to get help.
There are newer treatments available for COVID, for certain higher-risk people. If you think you have COVID, and you’re worried you might be at higher risk because of other health conditions, or if you haven’t been vaccinated – please call. We can help determine if you might benefit from one of these medications. The COVID Assessment Centre at NHH is another good resource for this – you can reach them at 905-377-7783.
